I know you don’t have all day to read up on what I’ve been doing the last few decades, so let’s just get to what matters.

Why you want to work with me:

I’ve got a degree in Journalism (concentration in Public Relations) and a degree in Industrial Relations from UNC-Chapel Hill.  If you hail from Duke or NC State, no biggie.  We just don’t need to talk about it.

I’ve got the pulse on the mom-scene.  As the founder of the South Charlotte Playgroup, home to over 900 moms, I interact daily with fellow mothers and their children.  We plan between 25-40 events per week in our community, so I know what moms and kids enjoy doing.  I have a team of over 20 members that help me keep the group organized and running, and I know my way around planning events from big to small.

I can tell a story.  Writing is my passion.  It’s why I got a degree in Journalism, it’s why I started a blog, and it helps me get through the day.  If I can take a bad day and turn it into a funny story, I win.  If we can take your product and make it relatable to your consumer, we all win.

I know my way around social media.  I’ve got the skinny on Facebook.  I’m addicted to Pinterest.  I tweet. A lot.  And, I’m pretty into Instagram, Google+, and all of the emerging ways that brands can connect with their audience through the world wide web.  It makes me giddy.  Seriously.

I’m not afraid to put myself out there.  I’ve been published in the newspaper, interviewed on the radio, and appeared in webisodes on the Internet.   I’ve been interviewed on various topics for local news broadcasts, and I’ve even participated in a live cooking challenge.
