How Does Sleep Come? With a Bedtime Story… (Givewaway!)

sleeping baby

How Does Sleep Come? In our house sloooooowly…. with crying, and fussing, and getting up and going back down, and scratching backs, and talking about our day, and petting the dog, and singing songs, and hugs and kisses, and a bedtime story.  Lots and lots of bedtime stories.

One of our favorite children’s bedtime stories of late happens to be the book, “How Does Sleep Come?” by Jeanne C. Blackmore.  I think Graham likes it because of the imagery on each page… the little boy sailing through the night on his bed turned into ship.  Will likes it because he can can bend and rip the paper on the pages (he has low standards for books these days), and I like it because of the slow, rhyming story of each page that puts me in a calm mood.  Perfect for the evening mayhem that rocks my house on a nightly basis.

Tired of reading the same book over and over to your tots at night?  I can’t  help it if this becomes a favorite in your house, like it is in mine, but at least you can add it to the mix!   Beats reading the Thomas the Train Alphabet book five times in a row! :)  Add this book to your collection by entering our MomFavorites Giveaway!  Deadline to enter is Tuesday, November 13th!

Good luck,

Sleep comes with a couple books ( always on a library rotation so Mommy doesn’t lose her mind reading same books over and over….) and lots of singing.
